Welcome to Hope Lutheran Church’s website! We hope that you will visit us in person, whether you’re a life long Lutheran, looking to find out more about the Lutheran tradition, or just plain curious about church in general.
What will you find when you visit Hope? You will find worship that is centered on Christ and His gifts given out in His word and His sacraments. The proclamation of the Gospel and the celebration of the Eucharist are the very heart and soul of our worship.
When you visit Hope for the first time you will find our hymnal, Lutheran Service Book, in the pew. You will also receive a worship bulletin that will serve as your guide during the Divine Service. You will also find the prayer, the psalm, and the readings of the day in the bulletin.
At Hope you will find a variety of opportunities for service, including social ministry (providing for those in need), altar guild, ushers, choirs, as well as boards that provide leadership.
You will also find an opportunity to meet others who share similar interests, whether you are married or single, retired or just starting out on your own, and you will meet families with children of any age.
The best way to learn more about Hope is to visit us on a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening. When you do, please introduce yourself to our pastor and others on the church staff when you visit. At the conclusion of most of our Divine Services you will find Pastor Asburry at the center entrance to the church. He and others will be happy to talk with you more about Hope, about joining Hope, or about learning more about the Christian faith and the Lutheran tradition.
